The organ of Luçon, of the famous Cavaillé-Coll invoice, was it not to be presented at the Universal Exhibition of 1855? This is to say the care taken in the manufacture of this instrument! But it was not until 1857 that the current organ was installed, by the will of Napoleon III.
The complete restoration dates from 1968. On the keyboard for this recording, Félix Moreau knew how to give the beautiful instrument all its rich - and very extensive - sonorities, thanks to specially chosen pieces by André Raison and César Franck.
