A book to be discovered absolutely as much for the remarkable life of Norbert Tannhof as for the depth of his reflection, which remains no less simple and accessible to all.

A childhood in Upper Silesia, a country of heavy industry and deep forests, in a Central Europe with fluctuating borders. An adolescence between revolt and endurance, equally necessary in the face of the rise of Nazism. A youth exposed to the fire of war but also to the fire of questions. And the unlikely arrival in Paris of a German student... A common thread, however, in this unpredictable itinerary: the need to philosophize - in the most ordinary sense of the word, which is the desire to understand. Norbert Tannhof was visibly happy to think about all these things, and things were returning to him well. For things speak.
