Pope Francis describes the path to follow Christ in joy and hope.
"Jesus did not come to teach us a philosophy, an ideology... but a 'way', a road to travel with him, and the road is learned by taking it, by walking. Yes, dear brothers, this is our joy: to walk with Jesus."
To walk is the verb that Pope Francis used most since the beginning of his pontificate. In the ecclesial vision of Francis, "walking" sums up the very image of the Church that goes out from itself, from its own inner walls, to meet the people of God and the world; of the Church that is evangelizing and in permanent mission, which feels the responsibility and joy of this walk; of the Church that is not afraid of the path and of what it can find by walking among people, especially where the cry of the poor, the marginalized and the oppressed is heard most, on the periphery of existence.
