This four-part prayer contains a novena to St. Kateri Tekakwitha, a hymna to Kateri, the Lily of the Moons and related ephemerides.

An important figure in Canadian and North American Catholic history, Kateri Tekakwitha was a young Mohawk (Mohawk tribe) convert to Catholicism. Nicknamed the "Lily of the Mohawk", she can also be called Catherine. Tekakwitha means "the one who moves forward hesitantly (or painfully)" or "the one who moves things before her". Her conversion to the Christian religion changed her profoundly and she is remembered as a saint thanks to the healing of a young boy. Her image has become a strong symbol in Jesuit hagiography, a versatile inter-tribal Catholic symbol.
