A path under the gaze of Mary
This book, which appears shortly before the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of the Rosary at Fatima (1917), is a kind of testament of Sister Lucia (1907-2005).
It quickly retraces the history of the apparitions from the point of view of Sister Lucia, but the main part is made up of Sister Lucia's life in the convent with many anecdotes told by her sisters.
This aspect is totally new and has never been revealed. To follow Sister Lucia's daily life in the convent, to see how she who has seen the Virgin Mary, heaven, purgatory and hell lives her life as a religious in a community is quite edifying. The explanations on the consecration of the world to Mary and on the third part of the "secret of Fatima" come to us from the one who heard them from the very mouth of the Virgin Mary.
It is truly a captivating book for all those who want to discover Sister Lucia in her intimacy.
"The history of the contemporary Church can hardly do without a mention of Sister Lucia. The references to the Holy Father and his sufferings, already during the apparitions, as well as the revelation of the third part of the so-called "Secret of Fatima", and the dramatic events experienced by the Church at the end of the second millennium and at the beginning of the third, do not allow us to ignore Sister Lucia. The reading of the biography A Way Under the Eyes of Mary provides us with a more complete perspective of Sister Lucia's personality, the fruit of direct knowledge, of daily common life, and of writings and testimonies that reflect the depth of a soul". † Virgilio Antunes, Bishop of Coimbra
