800 years ago, an amazing thing happened: God showed the Benedictine abbess Hildegard of Bingen the secrets of creation and redemption, as well as the wonders of nature, the functions of the human body, the causes of disease and the remedies which He, the Creator, provided in nature for the healing of the sick. Hildegard was commanded by God: "Write what you see! Reveal the wonders you experience! Write and speak!"
After much hesitation, St. Hildegard, compelled by God and suffering, began to dictate her many books in Latin. Through them, she exerted an enormous spiritual influence on the whole of the West at that time.
But St. Hildegard and her books on the natural sciences and medicine fell into almost total oblivion in the last few centuries. The author of this book, Dr. G. Hertzka, has rediscovered the knowledge and advice of this saint in the field of medicine and makes it accessible to our times. More than 160,000 copies of the original German edition have already been sold!
