Maria Simma (1915-2004) had received from God the gift of speaking with the souls in Purgatory. If what she experienced in the course of her relationship with these souls, what she learned from them, may seem surprising to some, it allows us to cast a very precious glance into the beyond and confirms the existence of God and of life after death.
This book is also an invitation to rethink our lives in the light of eternity and to draw the consequences.
As the Second Vatican Council says in its dogmatic constitution on the Church (no. 12):
"To each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good (1 Cor 12:7). These charisms, whether they are more radiant or simpler and more widely spread, are very appropriate and very useful to the needs of the Church: they must therefore be received with thanksgiving and consolation . Judgment on their authenticity and their well-ordered use belongs to those who preside in the Church and to whom it is especially incumbent not to extinguish the Spirit, but to test everything and to hold on to what is good". (cf. 1 Thess 5:12ff)
More than 55,000 copies of this book have been sold in French and nearly 200,000 in German: it is a great help to us on a theme that will concern us all one day or another!
