In our present world, values such as technology, success and efficiency have become established. Therefore death is often veiled, sometimes even denied in many ways. Yet death is part of human life. So it affects us all. Often man is confronted with the mystery of death as if he were faced with an enigma.

But death is the final test of the soul. At the moment of death, every person receives eternal retribution in his immortal soul. This takes place in a special judgment, either through purification, or by entering directly into heavenly bliss, or by immediately condemning oneself forever. This is the faith of the Church, which is based on the New Testament statements.
