About Vassula Rydén

Baptized in the Greek Orthodox Church, Vassula Rydén, an Egyptian-born Greek, married a Swedish man working in the field of aid to Third World countries, where she lived most of her life with her two sons. A non-practitioner, she led the mundane life of an expatriate, painting and playing tennis in national tournaments.

In 1985, while living in Bangladesh, she experienced a first manifestation of her guardian angel Daniel, and later, after a period of purification and spiritual progress, God called her into His service to transmit His divine words to the world.

Vassula received these inspirations in the form of inner locutions and visions. After being prepared for this ministry by her guardian angel Daniel, in 1986 Vassula was called to write down the messages - published under the title True Life in God - she had received from the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Archangels and the saints.

The messages Vassula receives are calligraphed in a majestic script completely different from her own. At first, she receives them spoken by an inner voice, then, as she writes them, her handwriting transforms. Since 1988, Vassula has been invited to testify in over 80 countries at more than 1,000 conferences. In return for her apostolate of spreading messages, Vassula receives no remuneration. The Lord told her: “I have given you freely, so give freely yourself” (August 20 1987).

About this book

This book takes us back to 1986 and 1987. It contains the messages Vassula had received at that time from her guardian angel, and then from God, in order to prepare her to receive the messages of True Life in God. They provide a fascinating and spiritually enriching introduction to the messages of True Life in God.
