Traveling with the Pope

Wherever he travels, Francis is eagerly awaited by thousands of Catholics. Andrea Tornielli accompanied him on all his trips outside Rome, from the first, symbolic, to Lampedusa in July 2013. He brought back this travel diary in which he reveals to us an unpublished and intimate portrait of the pope, pilgrim of the peace.
From Italy to Brazil, from Cuba to Sri Lanka, denouncing corruption, drug trafficking and the sale of firearms, calling on governments to act against global warming, expressing indignation at the general indifference to major humanitarian tragedies , inviting all confessions to pray together, hugging street children or bereaved families, Pope Francis gives a strong meaning to each of his journeys. Between messages of love and cries of indignation, he wants to stir consciences against the "globalization of indifference".
