This version of the Bible is the work of Louis Segond, a Swiss Protestant pastor and theologian who, between 1874 and 1880, translated the Hebrew and Greek texts. However, he did not want his early work to be touched during his lifetime, but left it to his publishers after his death. From then on, the publishers revised his work, resulting in the 1910 version.
