The cover is made of navy blue soft vinyl. The book is surrounded by a frieze of silvery arabesques that decorates it sparingly. The typeface inside the bible is large for ease of reading.
This version of the Bible is the work of Louis Segond, a Swiss Protestant pastor and theologian, who translated the Hebrew and Greek texts between 1874 and 1880. However, he did not want his early work to be touched during his lifetime, but left it to his publishers after his death. From then on, the publishers revised his work, resulting in the 1910 version.
