Olive wood rosary. The cross of Christ is made of brown wood with the figure of Jesus painted in gold and the portrait of N.D. of the Poor of Banneux on the back. This rosary is a small pocket size, practical to take with you everywhere.
The Virgin of the Poor appeared to Mariette Beco, 11 years old, between January 15 and March 2, 1933 with this message: “This source is reserved for all nations […] to relieve the sick.”
This rosary should be kept close to you like the comforting presence of the Virgin, as it was for Mariette Beco.
Olive wood is a particular and recognizable species with its fine grain and light color, and an eloquent reminder of Gethsemane, the Mount of Olives.
